Roche CoaguChek XS Plus PT Controls are essential for performing system checks and quality control on the CoaguChek® XS Plus or CoaguChek® Pro meters. These controls ensure the accuracy and reliability of INR (International Normalized Ratio) testing results, a critical measure for monitoring blood clotting and managing anticoagulant therapy.

Pack Contents:

4 Bottles of Lyophilized Control Plasma (Level 1): Ready for preparation to verify system performance.

4 Diluent-Filled Droppers: Specifically measured for convenient reconstitution of the control plasma.

1 Code Chip: Facilitates compatibility with your CoaguChek® meter.

Note: The Roche CoaguChek Meter and corresponding test strips are sold separately and are required to complete the testing process.

Preparation Instructions:

Reconstitution:

Add the contents of one diluent-filled dropper to one bottle of lyophilized control plasma.

Allow the solution to stand for at least 1 minute to ensure proper mixing.

Gently swirl the bottle to mix. Avoid shaking to prevent bubble formation.

Stability:

The prepared solution is stable for up to 30 minutes. Do not store or reuse later.

Meter Setup:

Follow the operator’s manual to prepare your meter and insert the appropriate test strip.

Insert the provided quality control code chip into the meter for calibration.

Testing Procedure:

Using the dropper, apply one hanging drop of the control solution to the sample application area of the test strip.

Retain any remaining solution until the test result is obtained. This allows for a repeat if necessary.
